Each February, StoryCon makes Salt Lake City the most exciting place in the world to be a reader or a writer. Part literary conference, part celebration, it draws thousands of attendees to a vibrant exhibit hall, bestselling author keynotes, and hands-on writing classes across four tracks — Teen, Tween, Adult, and Educator.
But the heart of what we do is this: We scholarship a significant portion of our teen attendees and offer discounts for many school groups, because the experience only matters if the kids who need it most can actually get there. They leave knowing their voice matters, their stories deserve to be told, and they are not alone in loving the things they love. That shift in identity — from kid who reads to kid who is a reader and a writer — is something that sticks.
